Producers/Artists/Songfinders  If you hear something you like on our website, fill out our "Contact Us" form, give us a call, letter, or e-mail...whatever suits you. We can go from there.

Your Song on our Site  NOTICE: THIS FEATURE IS FREE OF CHARGE TO NSAI MEMBERS AFFILIATED WITH THE TALLAHASSEE NSAI WORKSHOP.  Wish the world could hear your original music?  Let us be your link to the world. We can include your unpublished song on our website...just e-mail or call us for more information.  We'll give you a service agreement number allowing you to snail-mail a radio-ready CD (no tapes please) of your song(s)--maximum of 2 songs, along with the name of the writer(s) and the performing artist.  If you want your lyrics and/or a story about the song included, please e-mail those... it means less set-up time and cost if we don't have to type it out ourselves.   

Please include in your package a contact name, address, telephone, e-mail address, and our processing fee of $10 per song.  The processing fee covers conversion to mp3 specified format, uploading to the website, and administering the song's chart position for a minimum of 45 days.  Songs are subject to rotation after 45 days.  Include an additional $5 per song if you want us to type your lyrics and story from a hard copy.  Otherwise, e-mail these two items to us at no charge (preferred). 

We reserve the right to be selective in what we put up and how long your song stays beyond a 45-day minimum, although very few songs have been taken down.  Space limitations are the primary consideration.  Published songs, songs with offensive language, or adult-oriented material will be declined.  We will also pull the song at anytime YOU request, no restrictions.  Writers retain all rights and copyrights.

If  your song has potential, but we don't feel it is quite ready for the world because of production problems or other distracting characteristics, we'll send it and your fee payment back immediately (unless you authorize us to critique your song and transfer our $10 per song critique fee).  Be sure you e-mail or call us for a service agreement number, though, before sending anything to us, as we don't have the luxury of accepting material not authorized by a service agreement number.  Please allow three weeks for processing.  NOTE: INFORMATION IN THIS SECTION IS CONSIDERED PART OF YOUR SERVICE AGREEMENT TERMS.  WRITERS RETAIN ALL RIGHTS.

Song Critiques can be authorized by you if you send a CD of a song under a service agreement number but it is declined by our service.  In this event, if you authorize us to do a critique of your song to make it better, then we will record a detailed critique on a cassette tape and send it to you with your CD and lyrics, upon receipt of our fee.  Our fee for the critique is $10 per song.  Please allow 3 weeks turnaround from our date of receipt.

You may request critiques only.  No service number from us required!! Just send us a typed, double-spaced lyric sheet(s) and a CASSETTE TAPE of your song(s)---(we will record our critique on your tape after the song).  We also critique lyrics only.  Please enclose our critique fee of $10 per song or lyric (2 songs or lyrics maximum at one time---additional songs may be sent after you receive our critiques).  Allow 3 weeks turnaround.

Song Registration Service is for complete songs only!!  Music and lyrics.  For you to establish a third-party verifiable legal date of your song's existence.  No service number from us required!!  No e-mail to us required!!  Just send us a CD or cassette, typed lyric sheet(s), along with a typed list of the song title(s), names of all writers, a primary contact name, address, telephone, and your e-mail address (if any).  We will time and date stamp your submission and return a confirmation letter and registration number to you within 3 weeks.  Omission of requested information or failure to follow procedures will delay our confirmation letter to you or result in return of your package.  Please enclose our fee of $8.50 per single song, $15 for a collection or compilation of two or more songs.

IMPORTANT:  BE SURE YOUR TAPE AND LYRIC SHEET ARE SEALED IN AN ENVELOPE INSIDE YOUR PACKAGE.  OUR POLICY IS THAT TAPE AND LYRIC SUBMISSIONS WILL REMAIN UNOPENED IN OUR STORAGE OR WHILE IN OUR POSSESSION.  REGISTRATION PROVES THE DATE OF YOUR SONG'S EXISTENCE BUT DOES NOT HOLD HARMLESS YOUR SONG FROM COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT ACTIONS, WHICH IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE SUBMITTER.  WE DO NOT HAVE THE CAPACITY TO VALIDATE THE AUTHENTICITY OF YOUR SONG. 

YOUR COPYRIGHT OWNERSHIP BEGINS WHEN YOU FIRST PUT YOUR LYRIC TO PAPER OR RECORD YOUR SONG TO A MEDIUM AND REQUIRES NO REGISTRATION TO BE LEGALLY VALID.   REGISTRATION, HOWEVER, PROVIDES YOU A MEANS TO PROVE BY A THIRD PARTY THE DATE YOUR SONG EXISTS AND IS MOST EFFECTIVE WHEN DONE PRIOR TO THE DATE YOU  FIRST PRESENT  YOUR SONG IN A COMPETITIVE ENVIRONMENT.  REGISTERING YOUR SONGS PRIOR TO THAT TIME WOULD BE A WASTE OF YOUR MONEY.
