img24.jpg   Lo-fi  "Oriole Station"  Dennis Dunn    A true story of harsh times in the wild days of early Florida.  This song won First Place in the Will McClean Annual Song Competition.  Written and sung by the great North Florida songwriter, Dennis Dunn.  Dennis commented that he never recorded the song, so this is the one and only original .... available on the "live" CD "Stayin at Home" recorded and produced by Ron Patrick at the American Legion Hall, Tallahassee, Fl. Sept.2, 2002.

img25.jpg   Lo-fi  "River of Names"  Ron Patrick   A true story of the mighty St. John's River in Florida.  Named and renamed by every explorer that "found" it, the river was so strong in its youth that its current pounded back the Atlantic ..... with tide against tide crashing and boiling just north of Jacksonville.  So said the Spaniards.  Rick Ott on the Fender and Tommy Owen on bass.  A rewritten unplugged version of this song, retitled The Mighty St. John's, placed in the Top Ten of the 2007 Will McLean New Florida Song Contest.

gbbm2.jpg    Lo-fi  "Ballad of the 509"   Charles Harvey   A great song of patriotism and awareness from the Cascades Collection CD produced by Del Suggs, Tallahassee, Florida.  Written and sung by Charlie Harvey.
